Drivers helping Drivers...  a Facebook-enabled cause

Sharing incident reports to promote traffic safety!

 The Mission:

  • To minimize the crash risk of cause members, as the result of learning the lessons of everyone's (and your own) submitted near-miss and crash reports.
  •  Position Statements:

  • Submitting near miss and crash reports can increase awareness of factors associated with individual crash risk, which can in turn empower people to eliminate these risks.
  • Reviewing the reports of others will provide valuable reminders of the many different types of hazardous driving situations, as well as the general need to remain alert on the road.
  •  Participate by clicking the below submit button to make either:

  • a near-miss report: You either acted to avoid a possible (or certain) collision, or a close call occurred "out-of-the-blue" with no opportunity to react, or
  • a crash report: You collided with (or was hit by) another vehicle or other object.
  •  Join our Facebook cause: Drivers helping Drivers

  • Mutually benefit from shared near-miss and crash reports with Facebook friends
  • Read announcements for news and updates about the initiative
  • Receive reminders about your participation

    Testimonials

"This has had a remarkable effect on my perception of what is going on around me while driving. I have become much more aware of what other drivers are doing, and I think that this has helped me become a more defensive driver."

"For me, participation was a debriefing of my driving safety habits. I have a longer checklist of factors to consider, and now that I have made a habit of considering them, I feel more in control of my safety and less like a passenger at the mercy of factors outside my awareness or influence."

"Participating has made me quite a bit more aware of safety when I drive. I've only had to fill out one report so far, but all the questions you asked really made me think about what I do behind the wheel."

"I can say that I am more conscious of my driving and am more concerned about safety. Keep up the good work."
